Contracts Manager

  • Due to further expansion within the business, Ample Power are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager (Construction) to lead a number of upcoming project ranging between £500k – £5m. Reporting to the Business Managing Director, you will lead teams to develop projects throughout the project lifecycle ensuring safety, compliance with regulations and industry standards. There will be a requirement to support wider business development and improvement as part of this leadership role.

Qualifications:


  • Degree or upper class qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Related Discipline
  • CSCS / IOSH
  • Desirable to be a member of a charter body ICE / CIOB

Experience: Minimum:


  • 10 years’ experience
  • Previous experience on similar sized projects working for a main contractor delivering civils, buildings, or infrastructure
  • Detailed knowledge of construction design and construction methods
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct delivery

Duties:


  • Leading the project lifecycle of multiple projects
  • Overall responsibility for Health, Safety & Environmental Standards being met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work winning and procurement Construction Lead & development of delivery strategy
  • Development of Supply Chain
  • Producing and maintaining Project Plans
  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring Project Programmes and Project Controls
  • Design Management liaising with architect and consultants and maintaining Quality Standards through the delivery phase (to include temporary works)
  • Management of Project Teams and Subcontractors
  • Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project financial targets are met
  • Development of Staff and Training
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, strive for continuous improvement and coach/guide site management
  • Periodic Reporting
  • Engage with the Business Leadership Team to develop business process and continual improvement
